Gary White (top) & Randy White
Roguewood Furniture was founded by two brothers, Gary and Randy White, in 1970 in Huntington Beach, California.
While studying mechanical engineering, Randy learned to bend wood using gas instead of the traditional steam method. This method was used to produce the first products manufactured by company, which was fittingly called “Bentwood” at the time.
In the late 1970’s, the Whites moved the company to Grants Pass, Oregon. With only one additional employee at that time, they produced oak accessories and started to build reproduction furniture for their father’s antiques business—which led to the development of their own line of quality hardwood furniture that continues to this day. Today Roguewood Furniture celebrates 40 years of success and over three decades of production in Oregon’s beautiful Rogue River Valley.
