Crafting a dovetailed drawer.
We combine traditional joinery techniques, handcraftsmanship from our experienced woodworkers, and classic woodworking machinery to build spectacular Roguewood furniture.
Dovetail Joinery
The use of time-honored dovetail joinery in drawer construction assures unmatched strength and durability. Unlike many other furniture manufacturers, we use dovetails on all corners of our drawers, not just the front corners.
Mortise-and-Tenon Joints
Following in the tradition of early handcrafted furniture, mortise-and-tenon joints offer superior strength as compared to the biscuit or dowel construction techniques commonly found in the furniture industry today.
Solid Wood
Unlike most furniture today, we build our furniture using solid, sustainably harvested American hardwoods. We never use particleboard or other secondary wood-based products. Where weight and warping are considerations, such as with case backs and side inset panels, we use premium furniture-grade plywood. You won't find paperboard case backs on our furniture.
Sher-Wood Finishes
Because we only use the best Sher-Wood finishing systems from Sherwin-Williams, our furniture resists scratches, alcohol, water and other common household detergents.
Precision Ball Bearing Drawer Slides
Combining premium Accuride full-extension ball bearing drawer slides with our other traditional craftsmanship techniques provides smooth, quiet drawer movement and the durability to last a lifetime. Accuride slides come standard on most of our furniture collections.
Cedar Drawers
To provide protection for your valuable garments, we offer aromatic cedar drawers in many pieces of our bedroom furniture. While some manufacturers install only a cedar drawer bottom, we ensure that the entire drawer—sides, back and bottom—is built out of premium aromatic cedar.
